On December 17, 2018, the Bishop's University Senate approved the SAFS programs and all the associated AGR-coded courses. See www.ubishops.ca/safs
We have begun offering the SAFS Minor and Certificate programs and all AGR coded courses in Spring 2019.
The B.A major in SAFS was approved by the provincial government in June 2022. The BA Major in SAFS opened in Fall 2022 to the first co-hort of students. The B.Sc. major in SAFS awaits government approval.
We also offer a 72-hour course leading to Permaculture Design Certification.

We are excited to announce a Master Plan for the Campus Educational Farm was completed in October 2020.
Located on Bishop's property, the 140-acre Educational Farm will be a hub of activity for the SAFS programs, for research, and for community outreach activities.
A SAFS Farm Management Committee (FMC) is meeting regularly and making plans for implementing the Master Plan. Teaching and research activities will begin at the farm in May 2021.
